If you've always loved fantastic creatures and you've imagined having one of your own, I can help you bring your idea to reality. Because I create my sculptures from figurines that I find, there are lots of different options for commissioned works. I can create sculpture from an existing figurine that you provide, or figurines that I obtain, or a combination of the two. There are virtually endless possibilities for what can be created.
Here are some of the many options:
Hybrids: two or more different animals blended together
Additions: Horns, fangs, longer neck or legs, extra arms
Replacements: moving one part of a figurine to another area (i.e. moving ears to the back of an animal to look like wings)
Pictured on this page are a few of the custom commissions I've created for clients. If you're curious about having one of your own let's talk! You can email me here.
I have work in two shows in Los Angeles and one show in Austin this November! Here are the details:
Opening Saturday, November 5, 6-9 pm: Loved Ones at Good Eye Gallery
This group show features affordable artwork featuring pets and people and includes myself, Carrie Hansen, Ashley Mistriel, Maria Pineres, Lena Sayadian. Custom commissions make the perfect holiday gift - so if you've ever wanted to create your own pet this is a great opportunity to have me create a mashup for you! The opening coincides with the "I Heart Eagle Rock Art Walk". More details here.
All three works pictured above will be available at Loved Ones!
Opening Saturday, November 12, 6-9 pm: Tiny Treasures XI at Cactus Gallery
Two new ear-winged bunnies will make their debut at Tiny Treasures XI. This group show includes over 50 artists who make the smallest work - perfect for gifting to yourself or your friends! More details here.
Saturday & Sunday, November 12-13 & 19-20: 10EAST - Handsome
As an Honorary Austinite I'm excited to be a part of 10EAST at Handsome Design during the East Austin Studio Tour. This show will feature 20 Austin artists and designers, including Federico Archuleta, Briar Bonifacio, Rachelle Diaz, Chris Holloway, Red Rider Studios, and Gerardo Arellano, who have helped shape contemporary art in Austin over the past 10 years.
