About the work:
In this series, found porcelain animals are
seamlessly altered through addition, subtraction and recombination of pieces and
parts. I modify the forms of existing objects using my training as a china
restorer. Initially, I began these works as a private joke with myself, a
ridiculous end to challenging process – but in their manifestation they have
become disturbing and fascinating in their banality, little oddities that
explore the fine line between the ordinary and the strange.
